MANIFESTING

As I was preparing this site, someone helping me asked a question about shamans who help to alter things in the world- such as help a person who is sick, or bring rain if there is drought etc. the key note is that shamans have a bit of a different interest than people who say have rushed out to buy the book “The Secret.” Here is a secret, your greed has made the greedy people who made that book rich. Your operating in consumer mode, more, more, more- and now someone is telling me how to get more. Look how fast people are handing over their money. And yes you can get what you want in the dream, but most things have a price tag attached to them so to speak- and no one is looking at the long term price tag of their greed.

Shamans have the interest to manifest only one thing, harmony/balance. They learned all the aspects and layers of the dream reality, but not to get what is best for them. They look for what is out of balance with the basic structure of the dream, and then realign it. Be that with self, person, village or earth. It is sort of like they notice a virus on a computer. So they work to rid the virus. They don't need to stop the idea of it, just eradicate where they find it is creating disharmony now.

So I know the next question coming- how can one know what is right or not- what needs to be changed. If everything is perfect as it is, that must mean we don’t do anything and just let it all happen. This is spiritual apathy that mind likes to indulge in. now instead o me doing, now there is me not-doing. But this is not what the Taoists mean by being a non-doer. Yes things are perfect in this moment, but that may not mean the dream wants to use a person as a catalyst for change. If you are hungry, you make a change. You eat. If you cut your finger you make a change, you put on a band-aid. You don’t look at your finger and say, oh everything is perfect as it is so I will just sit here and stare at my finger until I bleed to death.

What it means is get the little me and its wants out of the way. And the only way to really know what is out of balance, is to get to know the dream so intimately that in a sense you know the html program that is behind the world. Thus one may say they spend a lot of time "inside" the dream, but only by knowing it can they work with it from the standpoint of the dream itself, and not what they individually want. so when it comes to question of manifestation, if one is wanting only to manifest balance and harmony- whatever that may be in that moment, then the wishes of form are in alignment with the wishes of the absolute.

However, creating balance and harmony may not always be what you think it is. Many times, harmony can only come from conflict. Think about that before you rush out and start trying to save and balance the world. Instead of buying $50 books that promise to make you rich by thinking, or study secret rituals to control other people or the weather- start by examining how the dream works. Become a student of the dream world. How does it work? When you know, then form can get very good at detecting what is in balance, and what is out of balance.
